pingpad

Your phone is the paddle.

Any screen with a browser is a table.

Motion-controlled table tennis: swing your phone to return the ball on a laptop, a tablet or a TV.

  • Nothing to install
  • No account

Two devices, ten seconds.

Nothing to install and no account: the phone connects straight to the screen, peer to peer.

  1. Open pingpad on a screen. A laptop, a desktop, a tablet or a TV. Press Play and the table shows up with a QR code.
  2. Scan it with your phone. Any recent smartphone. It opens in the browser, with nothing to download, and becomes your paddle.
  3. Hold it upright to calibrate. The screen shows your phone turning as you turn it, and tells you when you're ready.
  4. Swing. Hold the phone by its bottom like a paddle's handle, and play forehands and backhands. Time the stroke to meet the ball, and angle the phone to aim.

Three ways to play.

On your own against the computer, or with a friend on a split screen.

  • Return Challenge

The computer feeds you balls, faster and faster. How many can you return in a row?

  • Match

Play the computer over one game, best of 3 or best of 5. Toss and serve on your turn.

  • Two players

Two phones, one at each end of the table, on a split screen.

pingpad

This device is the screen

pingpad is played with two devices: a screen that shows the table, and a phone in each player's hand as the paddle. Play opens the screen, which shows a QR code for the paddles to scan.

It plays best with a laptop or a tablet as the screen: send it the link.

To use this device as the screen, continue. You will need another phone as the paddle.
